It all started when Alex Hart-Upendo was bullied for testing as gifted at the young age of 5 years old. Alex decided to take the hurtful words and turn it into something positive…bow-ties. Now at the age of 10 years old, Alex has begun his own Build-A-Bow business, written a book and has been featured on TV shows such as the Harry Connick Jr. Show and local news stations.
